Oldtown Alexandria Snippets

After we visited DC we went and toured downtown Alexandria!
the houses are all different and colorful we stopped at The Dairy Godmother and
got custard! mine and Brock's favorite was the blueberry custard.

We drove down the only cobbled road that was left in
Alexandria and looked at all the cute stores.
It was so fun being there so close to the fourth of July
everything was so patriotic.

Washington DC

Last weekend Brock and I went to Washington DC with his family.
It was AMAZING and emotionally beautiful.
It was so surreal to be standing in the same spots history was made
and seeing things you only see in pictures.

We visited The Library of Congress, Lincoln Memorial, United States Capitol, Washington DC Monument (It was under construction because of an earthquake) and lots of museums.
It was a dream being in DC. Especially with Brock, being with your love in one of the most
beautiful places what could be better?  I put together a little video of our time in DC below.

Duke Chapel and Gardens

Brock's family came to town this week! The second day they were
here we went to the Duke Garden and the Duke Chapel.
I took so many pictures it was hard to choose.
The chapel was built in 1930 and its amazing!
In the gardens we made a pit stop at a little shop
and got pineapple iced tea and some fizzy lizzy.
