Valentines 2014

(Valentine's throwback 2012 & 2013)

We love Valentines around here! We spent our first valentines together

when we were Seniors in high school and then our second just moving 

back from Arizona. We always do the same thing for Valentines. 

Its fun to have a little tradition! our first year we went to the movie

The Vow our second year we went to Safe Haven and this

year we went to Endless Love! i'm thankful for a boy who 

doesn't mind to sit through a sappy movie on love day.

This year we did a homemade dinner / double date with his parents.

His mom and dad are the best cooks! we had surf and turf and Brock

got me edible arrangements (he really does listen to me) so we ate

chocolate covered strawberries and heart shaped pineapple for dessert.

I gifted him with some Lebron 11's (basketball shoes) he is a collector 

and I bought them because they were red for Valentines ;) so we call

them the Valentines shoes and he was practically jumping for joy!

brownie points for Rissa! oh I love that boy!

Jimmy John's Convention 2014

February 8-12 we went to Vegas for the Jimmy Johns Convention!

we stayed at the aria were the convention was held and on 

our first night in town we went to dinner at The Capital Grille

with Brock's parents and one of their old friends!

it was such a yummy dinner it overlooked the strip and made us 

feel like we were in NYC.

The next day all the managers and owners arrived in Vegas and we 

had our family/ store dinner at Carmines. It was a four course meal

and we got to try a little of everything! Maggie Brock's cousin

took some pictures of all of us and we all visited.

The rest of the week was filled with girl time and babies!

while they went to meetings in the mornings I watched

Jade and her baby cousin Reese. I love to spend time with Jade

and it was fun to meet the new baby in the family!

We spent most of our time at the mall and trying yummy

new restaurants. 

Our last night was the Jimmy Johns awards and dinner

we dance and ate appetizers and all of the St. George

GM won Rolex watches from Jimmy John himself.

It was so fun for me to experience the convention!

Maui: 2014 Day Five

Our last day in Maui we stopped at the fruit and veggie stand

before heading to the airport. I love farmer markets and taking pics of all

the produce I think its so pretty! we cracked open a coconut and packaged our own

pineapple to take home with us. We also tried the natural smoothies made with natural

sugars and the produce from the island it was.. interesting! haha we tried the

mango bread and banana bread too those were so yummy!

we were so sad to leave the island it was an amazing week!

Maui 2014 : Day Four

Day Four in Maui was full of fun adventures!

we went down stairs for breakfast at the resorts buffet it was our favorite.

Unlimited fruit, orange juice and coffee what more could you need?

then we went whale watching in Lahaina on a fun tour boat.

They served lunch and drinks and we got to see whales up close for two hours.

It was the best time to whale watch since the whales are coming to the island to have their babies.

After the whale watching tour we went back to our resort and rented snorkeling

gear and went snorkeling at black rock! I was kinda nervous just the whole being 

underwater with moving things and breathing out of a tube scared me. 

Brock held my hand the whole time and we seen so many fishes, coral and seashells. Brock kept pointing at fish to show me and seashells on the ground and picked them up and put them in his pocket.

I thought it was really cute I wish I could have captured that moment I had the best 

feeling.

After snorkeling we played on the beach and went swimming and then headed up

to our room to get ready for dinner. We walked down to whalers village

and ate at one of the ocean side grills we all agreed it was the best food we had ever eaten.

It was bitter sweet because it was our last night in Maui. After dinner we got some ice cream

(Brock got ice-cream ) and we took a walk on the beach and slowly head back to the resort.
